DetailsHand carved, hand painted the Nordic way. Wood working is a long time revered tradition in Scandinavia.
This little lidded dish has blue, red flowers with wisps of greenery. There are notches carved into the edges of the lid, carved leaves on the round knob feet, and pretty carved leaf at the very bottom.
Also etched on one side is the following saying in Swedish: “Förnöjsamt sinne rikedom nog” = satisfying mind wealth enough
Measures: 3” tall x 4” diameter across with lid on.
Condition: some nicks to flowers in spots on top of the lid, some rubbing or wear to side. Otherwise in good vintage condition.
