DetailsHand carved the Nordic way. Wood working is a long time revered tradition in Scandinavia. This lidded container is called a snusdosor (snuff box) in Swedish and are classic items to make out of birch bark, in a bentwood style and accented with leather.
Lidded and could be used for trinkets, to organize a desk, store jewelry, coins, you name it. Really unique and wonderfully done.
Measures: 3” tall x 3” diameter across with lid on.
Condition: on the newer side vs old. Bottom is marked 90 so assuming this was made in 1990.
