DetailsThe jultomte home scene (or nisse in Danish and Norwegian) on this vintage tapestry is so Scandinavian.
This wall hanging/runner is cotton with an applied print. 1950s -1960s / mid century era and signed by the Swedish artist “Hill” or Hildegard Olmås.
Measures: 23” long x 12” could be laid on a table or hung on the wall - previous owner tacked it as it as two holes in each top corner.
Origin: bought in Sweden

Condition: in good vintage condition - only because there is one black mark on top seam edge (see photo) and a mark on the door but I think that is a print error not a stain. Otherwise this piece has nice vibrant colors for being vintage.
Note: I launder all my cotton and linen textiles and hand or spot wash my wool and natural fiber textiles. My vintage textiles do not have a musty odor. -
